The ber months are coming, which means Christmas season is just around the corner. But every month feels like Christmas for all Xbox Live Gold users. For September, they get a fresh new batch of four, new and free games.

Earlier this year, Microsoft started offering more free games for the Xbox One with the Xbox Live Gold subscription. This seems to be holding true as the Xbox One community gets two free titles this September, pretty much like Xbox 360 users.

Gold users with Xbox Ones can have free access to "The Deer God" ($14.99) all throughout September and "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" ($29.99) from Sept. 15 to the first half of October.

"The Deer God" is an independent title that lets players control a hunter-turned-deer. It is a procedural platformer that explores themes of karma and reincarnation.

"Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition," on the other hand, shows the complete origin of the game's perennial protagonist, Lara Croft. The game is already 2 years old but it will still serve as a great refresher to the newest title, "Rise of the Tomb Raider," which will be coming out later this year.

Xbox 360 gamers sure won't be left out. They will also gain free access to two titles: "Battlestations: Pacific" ($24.99) from Sept. 1 to 15 and "Crysis 3" ($19.99) from Sept. 16 to 30.

"Battlestations: Pacific" puts players in the World War II era, specifically in the Battle of Midway all through Okinawa and the war victory.

"Crysis 3" is a first-person shooter game that sends players to a futuristic world.

Xbox One users will still also be able to download for free "How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition" until the 16th of September. The new console's backwards compatibility is not yet fully launched, which means that September's free games for the 360 will only be playable on the old platform. Microsoft, however, promises that once the feature rolls out, Xbox One users will have access to more free titles.
