Taiwan-based tech vendor ASUS has recently announced the arrival of the ZenFone 3 series. The company has already rolled out two of the phone series' latest models, namely the Zenfone 3 Ultra and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. In addition, other Zenfone 3 models are about to be unveiled next month which are the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max.

The upcoming Zenfone 3 is considered a mid-level smartphone that is most likely to be out in August. It is said that the soon-to-be-released handset will have a 5.2-inch display with 424 pixels per inch (PPI) which will be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone will be preloaded with the Android Marshmallow operating system (OS) and will be fused with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processing chip together with an Adreno 506 graphics card and an octa-core 2.0 Cortex-A53 chipset.

The phone will sport a 16-megapixel back and an 8-megapixel front camera with the former having a dual-light emitting diode (LED) flash, phase detection and autofocus. It will also have a concentric brushed metal body with a non-removable lithium-ion 2,600 mAh battery pack which now has a quick charge feature that charges up the battery up to 60 percent in as fast as 39 minutes.

Meanwhile, among the versions of the Zenfone 3 family, the Zenfone 3 Ultra is the largest of them all. The phablet is said to wield a massive 6.8-inch full high-definition multitouch display with 1,080 x 1920 pixels protected by the sturdy Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The phablet dons a 23-megapixel back and 8-megapixel front shooter which is perfect for capturing crisp and high-resolution images, selfies, and whatnot.

Moreover, the phone will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with an Adreno 510 graphics processing unit (GPU). Furthermore, it is said that it will have a decent 4 GB of random access memory and will be pre-installed with the Android Marshmallow operating system.

The price for the Zenfone 3 is yet to be announced. However, the Zenfone 3 Ultra is said to have a starting price of $479 and up depending on the phablet's storage capacity.
