ZTE has unveiled a new mid-range smartphone, the Blade S7. The Blade S7 is part of ZTE's Blade lineup and is the successor to the Blade S6 smartphone released earlier this year. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been releasing a number of affordable but high-quality devices this year.

The ZTE Blade S7 smartphone features a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution and 441ppi pixel density. It has a 2.5D curved display with a Gorilla Glass panel on top for protection.

In terms of dimensions, it is 142 mm tall, 64 mm wide and 7.5 mm thick. The device weighs only 131 grams.

The device looks premium and sleek thanks to aluminum side frames. The Blade S7 also looks quite different from other ZTE devices.

The mid-range device is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, the Adreno 405 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It has 32 GB of internal storage but can be expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD slot.

The Blade S7 comes with two 13 MP cameras. The rear camera comes with autofocus and LED flash. The front-facing camera features autofocus and an LED flash light. Images captured are accurate and blur-free.

The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor that is embedded on the physical home button. The physical button can also launch an application with just one press. The Blade S7 features dual-SIM capability. It also comes with 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Blade S7 comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box but ZTE is said to be releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update later on. To power the device, there is a 2,500 mAh non-removable battery.

The smartphone comes in four colors – Lemon Green, Space Grey, Rose Gold and Diamond White.

The ZTE Blade S7 can be purchased through resellers like Geekbuying for about $280.
