Nintendo NX release date news: Analysts predict an October announcement
Nintendo is expected to release its upcoming console, the Nintendo NX, in March 2017. But until now, not a lot of information is known about it. However, a new report claims that the company is poised to unveil details in early October.
It appears that analysts have told The Wall Street Journal that the Japanese company is expected to reveal more details about the console by next month, which means fans won't have to get any more antsy.
As for what is currently speculated to come with the console, it has been said that it will feature connectivity to a television and will also have detachable controllers for portable gaming.
It was previously reported that a leak has also revealed that the Nintendo NX will not have region locking. This means that players can buy games from any part of the world and still be able to play it on their own consoles.
Another rumor states that the console is going to bring back the use of cartridges, which is definitely a nostalgic throwback for a lot of people.
As for its detachable controllers, it serves as a way for players to use the Nintendo NX without having to bring the entire gaming system. The controllers have holes at the base that can be used to connect and disconnect them from the main console. The two detachable controllers are equal in measure, with the entire console being slightly thicker than a folded 3DS XL. Different ports are also going to come with the Nintendo NX, such as a headphone port, a TV port, and an SD card port.
While it is exciting to imagine what else will come with the console, fans should take this news with a grain of salt since Nintendo has yet to confirm these rumors.
