'The Sims 4' PS4, Xbox One release date rumors: 'The Sims 4' to be available in later 2016 or early 2017?
"The Sims 4" maintains its popularity among Windows PC and Mac users, but somehow, there are fans who wish they could also play the game on consoles.
The simulation game from Electronic Arts is reportedly being ported for consoles and it's likely that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will soon be able to play the well-loved game. While fans are excited to know when this will happen, there is still no confirmed release date. Previously, it was rumored that "The Sims 4" for PS4 and Xbox One would have a March release, but there was none. There are also speculations that the console release will happen late this year or early 2017.
It took long for developers to make a console version of the game because they reportedly faced some technical problems with the project. Recent reports state that the game was meant to be available for consoles two years after the game debuted on Windows and Mac. With that said, the game should be available by September this year. But due to the technical problems mentioned above, fans may need to wait a little longer for the console release.
In the meantime, fans can just continue enjoying their "The Sims 4" game, especially with its regular expansions. Rumors have it though that a "Pets" expansion is on its way.
Neurogadget reported that an EA survey was conducted involving pets in "The Sims 4." In this rumored expansion, pets can be adopted or created via the "Create a Sim" mode. Players will be the one to decide on the pet's personality or traits, just like how they choose personalities for their Sim/s.
The pets in this expansion are said to be capable of working for cash for their Sim owner. More interestingly, the pets can also have their own career.
Apart from the pets expansion, a restaurant-themed expansion pack has also been rumored, as previously reported. So far, none of these expansions have been confirmed yet by EA.
