'Final Fantasy XV' news: Next installment coming to the PC?

(Final Fantasy XV/Official Website)

Many fans already know by now that the much awaited game from Square Enix, "Final Fantasy XV," is definitely coming to the two popular current-gen consoles PlayStation 4 from Sony and Xbox One from Microsoft. However, it appears like the fifteenth installment in the franchise might also come to the PC, as suggested in the "Final Fantasy Uncovered" website discovered by NeoGAF user KupoNut.

According to screenshot of the code taken from the "Final Fantasy Uncovered" event website, it seems like there's a slight chance that the game might become available on Steam when it gets launched or even perhaps a few days or weeks after its release.

However, the original poster (OP) had edited the post and stated that the code was somehow similar to "Rise of the Tomb Raider" page, which contains the identical command line for the Steam store page. KupoNut speculated that Square Enix might have copy pasted this part into the event page that could presumably explain the confusion.

Unfortunately, Square Enix had officially removed the command line on their event website Because of the attention that the "Final Fantasy XV" PC code had been getting. No comments yet, though, coming from the publisher regarding this whole issue, and if there really is a PC version for the upcoming fifteenth installment.

So for now, it is very ideal for the fans to wait for further announcements coming from the company and take the latest discovery with a pinch of salt, and consider it as mere speculation until proven otherwise.

Meanwhile, fans that are expecting to hear more news regarding the release date of "Final Fantasy XV" will have to wait for a month as Square Enix is now set to announce the much awaited launch of the game on their "Uncovered" event.

"Final Fantasy XV" is set to come out this 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
