Reality television actress Kim Richard was arrested Thursday last week after an alleged drunken rampage at a hotel lounge. Richards was purportedly unruly due to being overly intoxicated and was asked to vacate the premises by hotel staff. As a report at TMZ describes, Richards refused to cooperate at which point police personnel were called in to handle the situation.

According to the article:

"Richards -- who has struggled with substance abuse in the past -- was reportedly belligerent, slurring her speech and reeked of booze. We're told Kim was taken to a nearby jail -- where she allegedly kicked a police officer. She's been charged with trespass, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and drunk in public."

Richards allegedly spent a night at the county jail before being released the following morning after posting $20,000 in bail.

In a past episode of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', Richards admitted to having some troubles with her alcoholism and added that she had gone to a rehabilitation center twice to correct the problem. In the most previous season of the show, the actress claimed that she had made progress with her alcoholism and was sober and doing very well.

Despite her claims, other cast members of 'Real Housewives' say otherwise. According to a report at TMZ, an anonymous production team member shared that while Richards did not drink alcohol openly on the set, the actress would, at times, disappear for a brief time period and re-appear in a somewhat less than sober state. Still, a different source defended Richards stating that the actress was able to control her alcohol addiction better compared to previous years.

Whatever the case, reports also indicated that Richards' other cast mates such as Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and Yolanda Foster avoided confronting her when possible.
