Following other big video game companies, Take-Two Interactive has recently manifested that they are "excited" about Nintendo's upcoming hybrid portable console.

During the Credit Suisse Technology, Media, and Telecom conference, Take-Two Interactive president Karl Slatoff tackled how his company views the Nintendo Switch. Take-Two Interactive is the mother company of Rockstar and 2K Games, the developers and publishers of the "Grand Theft Auto" and "NBA 2K" franchises, respectively.

According to GameSpot, Slatoff said, "With any new hardware, there is always an element of 'wait and see,' and the install base is going to drive a lot [of Take-Two's level of support]. We're very intrigued and excited about it." He added, "The Nintendo folks I think are making a great effort to reach out to third-party developers, which I think is fantastic."

However, Slatoff did not mention whether or not they were planning to port one of their titles into the hybrid portable console. Though "NBA 2K17" was showcased in the device's official video teaser last October, 2K Games has not yet confirmed the game's inclusion in the list of titles for the Nintendo Switch.

Overall, according to Gamespot, Slatoff commented that they are very optimistic about the Nintendo Switch and says the people that comprise the Japan-based video games company are "good partners." Slatoff added, "We're excited to work with them in the future on it."

On the other hand, a number of big names in the video games industry have also manifested their support for the Nintendo Switch, such as Ubisoft and Electronic Arts.

As early as last September, Ubisoft told IGN that they think the console is "very attractive." EA, just this November, teased that some of their "bigger games" will be ported to the Nintendo Switch. Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, and EA are just some of the companies that have announced their support for the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo is expected to reveal more details about the console and its exact release date in January 2017. The hybrid portable console is slated to be released in March 2017.
