Amazon lists the 'Mass Effect 4' release date as December 31, 2014 as opposed to earlier speculations of an October 2015 release.

While there is no confirmation from BioWare yet, as to the exact date of consumer launch for the fourth installment of hit series Mass Effect, fanboys can expect more revelations about the game during the San Diego Comic-Con International 2014 happening this weekend.

BioWare will be hosting a panel to discuss about upcoming releases including Mass Effect 4 and "Dragon Age: Inquisition."

The panel discussion entitled "Charting a Course: Developing the Next Mass Effect" is scheduled to take place on Saturday and will last for one hour.

Aside from the producers, lead animator Carl Boulay, senior artist Noel Lukasewich and community manager Jessica Merizan are expected to join the event.

There was no real gameplay shown during the last Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) which disappointed Mass Effect enthusiasts, and a lot of hope is riding on this Comic-Con event.

Meanwhile, Michael Gamble, producer of Mass Effect 4, recently posted a survey on his Twitter account, asking fans to help them come up with the best Mass Effect game ever.

The prelude of the survey reads:

"Thank you in advance for answering the questions in our survey. We will be asking you questions that will help the designers as they look forward toward putting together the next Mass Effect game. We will be asking you about the types of games that you play, what you look forward to in Mass Effect games, and your involvement in fan community activities."

The survey contains two elements that focus on features that fans are looking for in the next installment.

While it would be interesting to actually see the result of the survey, the remarkable thing here is how BioWare will incorporate these feedbacks into the actual game.
