Nintendo fans are getting antsy as details surrounding the new Nintendo NX console remain scarce. The company has yet to release info regarding the new console, but reports claim that the Nintendo NX will be more powerful than the Wii U fourfold.

According to WCCF Tech, when talking about gigaflops, the upcoming Nintendo NX is going to be three or four times more powerful than its predecessor. That certainly is an amazing feat given the fact that the Wii U is already one powerful contraption. Additionally, it has been said that the console will be sporting an NVIDIA Pascal Tegra under the hood.

Unfortunately, a 4K display is reportedly not going to make it on the Nintendo NX and neither is HDR support. On the up side, it is believed that the console will have the Unreal Engine 4, which means plugging in PlayStation 4 or Xbox One games won't be a difficult task. 

It is widely known that the Nintendo NX will be sporting a hybrid aesthetic, taking gaming to a whole new level. It can be used as a standard console, much like the PlayStation series or Xbox series, but it has an added bonus in that it can also transform into a handheld device. This is the result of detachable controllers found on the sides of the console.

Speaking of which, according to iDigitalTimes, just because the controllers can be detached from the main console doesn't mean that players can continue playing whichever game they choose. There may be a distinction between games played on the standard console and games played on mobile. The mechanics remain unclear as of the moment.

As for its release date, it was previously reported that speculations are rife that the Nintendo NX will arrive in the market on or before March 4, 2017. This comes from a recent Amiibo release leak.

Since nothing has been confirmed, though, readers should take this news with a grain of salt for now.
