'Pokemon GO' release set for North America, Japan and Europe first

The much awaited Augmented Reality mobile game, "Pokemon GO," is now set to come out in several regions first, specifically in Japan, North America, and Europe, according to what the president and CEO of the Pokemon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara said during his interview with Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper via Serebii.

Furthermore, other regions, specifically South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East will get to receive the game after the first three locations have been covered, probably at a much later date. As for the actual release date, however, Ishihara still hasn't said anything regarding it. But given that the roll-out regions have been revealed, it would seem like the release for "Pokemon GO" would most likely land sooner rather than later.

However, reports earlier this year has speculated that the AR mobile game is probably still in development, and could soon be announced sometime this early 2016. Unfortunately, Niantics Inc., the developer of "Pokemon GO" and "Ingress," still hasn't released any statements regarding the Beta claims. So for now, it is very ideal for the fans to just wait for further announcements coming from the developer as to when the game will come out.

Meanwhile, Ishihara had also revealed during his interview that the company is now working on another "Pokemon" project, which is described as a "big" game. However, the translation made by Serebii did not indicate or revealed any other details regarding this unnamed IP or even if this is actually the highly rumored "Pokemon Z," since Zygarde has already been featured many times in the CoroCoro Japanese publication.

Needless to say, since there is still no official word coming from all the parties involved in the franchise, it is advisable to take this rumor with a pinch of salt for the time being, and consider it as mere speculation until proven otherwise.
