American Horror Story season 4 episode 12 review: Maggie is sawed in two, Jimmy gets new hands
The shocking episode 12 of season 4 of FX's "American Horror Story" has left fans with an unexpected gruesome death, a major plot twist and a mentally ill man's confession.
The episode opens up with Stanley paying the price for his deceiving ways. The freaks surprise him with a gift that turns out to be the museum curator's head in a jar which shocks him and he makes a run. The band of freaks are not done with him and he shrieks in the rain when he is caught running. The Joblo Network reports that later on, Stanley is seen stuck in a chicken coup completely mutilated.
Jimmy Darling, devoid of his famous lobster hands, struggles to regain a shred of hope. Elsa arranges for a doctor friend, played by Danny Huston, to build new artificial hands for him. Meanwhile, Maggie confesses her love for him and still hopes to start life afresh in New York.
Dandy enters the Tattler Twins tent to provide proof of Chester's mental illness and murderous past. Entertainment Weekly cites that while the twins were angered by his information, they decline to be Chester's assistant during the run-through.
The shocker of all was when poor Maggie steps in to be Chester's assistant claiming to know the magic act of being sawed in half well. Little does the blonde know Chester isn't planning on it being a trick. She steps in and he cuffs her legs. Chester starts sawing and pays no heed to Maggie's protests as his doll, Marjorie, taunts at him. She is sawed in half, with guts and blood spewing all over the floor.
The twins warn Elsa to run just as the band of freaks are ready to kill her for Ethel's death. She sells the freakshow to Dandy before running off to Hollywood.
Jimmy gets his new hands, but surprisingly, they aren't normal hands but lobster ones. Fans can expect more deaths and riveting twists on Jan. 21, 10 p.m. on FX with episode 13 "Curtain Call".
