'Attack on Titan' rumors: Season 2 to be rooted with manga story arc
Fans of the popular anime series, "Attack on Titan," must wait for its second season a little bit more. This is because the anime TV series plans to stick with its source material. According to Yibada, the policy behind the series is that it should cover four arcs of the story. The previous season has already covered 34 chapters of the manga. The story arcs that were covered are: "The Fall of Shiganshina," "104th Trainees Squad," "Battle of Trost District" and "The Female Titan." This means following the given formula, the TV series will have to wait until a new set of four arcs have been published.
This delay benefits the fans that have followed both the manga and the TV series. This kind of dedication and effort by the producers to stick with the source material, and not just imagine scenarios, ensures that the TV series will be rooted and grounded in the events in the manga. This also avoids any failure in production just as fans were disappointed with the live-action movie.
Fans' hopes are high, on the other hand, about the upcoming game by Omega Force titled "Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack on Titan," which comes out on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and Vita this 2016. This might keep the fans busy while waiting for the release of the second season.
For those who are unfamiliar, "Attack on Titan" is a story about the survival of humanity against human-like monster creatures that they call "Titans" who eat humans. In order to defend themselves, they created a huge wall to block off any attacks. The main character, Eren Yeager, and his friends join the military force dedicated to defend the wall and protect its inhabitants from any Titan attack. The discovery that Eren can transform into a Titan adds much more depth to the story. The characters must look for like the origin of the Titans or what traits are needed in order to transform into a Titan. These inquiries might be answered in the upcoming season 2.
