'Bleach' chapter 686 spoilers, plot speculations: Ichigo and Yhwach to have one final confrontation; is a spin-off in the works?
"Bleach" fans are no doubt counting their blessings now that they're getting another chapter of their favorite manga.
"Bleach" chapter 685 was rumored to be the final chapter in the popular manga but, as it turns out, another chapter is set to be released and it's one that will reportedly tie up all loose ends.
The previous chapter saw the battle between the Soul Society survivors and the Soul King's son, Yhwach, culminate in Ichigo vanquishing him. The chapter also showed viewers what happened a decade after Yhwach's defeat, with Shunsui Kyoraku reminiscing how the Soul Society was rebuilt. The manga also showed the leaders of Gotei gathered to celebrate the promotion of Rukia Kuchiki, its newest captain.
However, they might have celebrated too soon as Akon, the VP of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute (SRDI), discovered scanner readings that were similar to what Yhwach emitted before. Is it possible that Ichigo didn't defeat him?
It's certainly possible as the villain had previously said that no one had power greater than him, not even "Bleach's" protagonist, Ichigo. This has led to various speculations on how this story will play out in Chapter 686, the manga's alleged final chapter. There have been reports that the Shinigami will devise a way to bring his nemesis to the present in order to kill him, while other theories suggest that Ichigo will chase Yhwach to a future timeline and that's where the two will have their final showdown.
However it goes down, fans are no doubt hoping there will be a definitive end to Ichigo's battle with Yhwach.
Meanwhile, speculations abound that "Bleach" creator will have a special announcement included in chapter 685 and fans are hoping that it's news about a possible spin-off.
"Bleach" Chapter 686 is set to be releasd on Aug. 22.
