'Bloodline' season 3 plot rumors, spoilers: Danny will terrorize John; series to become much darker
While it still remains unclear when "Bloodline" season 3 will be streamed over Netflix, as it is yet to be renewed for another season, various rumors and speculations regarding the upcoming season have already surfaced. The latest in the rumor mill is that a dead character will still be part of the Netflix original, and Florida will still serve as the backdrop of the series.
Although Danny (Ben Mendelsohn) already died in the previous season of "Bloodline," a report claims that he will still be a part of "Bloodline" season 3. According to reports, Danny will appear either in flashback scenes or in the form of an apparition as he terrorizes John (Kyle Chandler), the brother he was closest to and, surprisingly, the one who also killed him.
With the undeniable influence of Danny over the clan, it goes without saying that events in the upcoming season of "Bloodline" will be different from those in the previous seasons now that he is dead. As if the series' theme were not dark enough, it has been learned that the creators of the show have hinted that "Bloodline" season 3 will be even darker than how it was in the past. As to how darker it will become, avid followers of the show can only wait and see.
Even though the series is set to become darker, though, one thing will remain: The series will still be set in the said American state as, after all, it has played an important aspect of the series.
"It's an iconic location. The one thing that's cool about Netflix shows is that those locations are characters. In the Hell's Kitchen shows like Daredevil, Hell's Kitchen is a character — we can't fake it in Canada. So tax credits are a nice offset but if it doesn't fit the creative, we're not going to chase it," said Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter recently.
While it is true that Netflix is yet to renew "Bloodline" for its third season, it has also been learned that the creators of the show have already readied what may transpire in the future seasons of the series, not just for its anticipated season 3. Reportedly, the creators already have plans even for the series' season 6.
For the time being, though, in the event that Netflix renews the series for its third season, avid followers of the Netflix original can expect to be treated to 10 episodes, which are alleged to be released in 2017.
