'Blue Bloods' season 6 finale episode: NYPD officer acquittal causes public outrage
An NYPD officer's acquittal causes public outrage that the government and law enforcement agencies have to face in the upcoming finale episode, titled "Blowback," of the sixth season of the police procedural "Blue Bloods."
Frank, the Mayor, Erin, and the DA are forced to deal with the public outrage after the grand jury acquitted an NYPD officer for a controversial shooting of a teenager, which was caught on tape. Danny and Baez, on the other hand, are tasked to go on a manhunt for the suspect of an officer who is shot in what looks like a retaliation from the public.
The promo trailer for "Blowback" shows the shooting of a teenager by an NYPD officer, which raged the public. Erin tells Danny that the public is angry about the controversial shooting. Danny, however, insists that it's the public's problem. After another officer is shot, Jamie asks the witnesses if they have seen the shooter.
Then, Danny is seen chasing down the suspect, who expresses his anger over the death of the teenager. The disappointed Frank tells his family over dinner that the trust between the cops and the public broke down due to the incident.
Meanwhile, here is the rundown of the previous episode, titled "The Extra Mile."
Out of fear of retaliation, a key witness in a murder trial escaped. In order to locate him and convince him to testify, Erin and Anthony went into a two-person manhunt. Grett, on the other hand, tried to persuade Frank to be present in the Police Union party. Danny and Baez ran an investigation on a suspicious convenience store robbery.
In other related news, Marisa Ramirez, who play as Det. Maria Baez, announced on People magazine that she pregnant with a baby girl.
She already revealed about her pregnancy earlier this year, but at that time she didn't want to know the gender of her baby yet.
