'Boruto: Naruto the Movie': New art cover unveiled but fans are wondering about the mysterious image on the back of the poster
The premiere of the Naruto movie is less than two months away, but fans are already restless and hungry for more information about the upcoming film. Official teasers for "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" are being released regularly and fresh updates about the highly anticipated film adaptation were made available just last week, making the followers of the franchise even more excited.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie", which will be the eleventh film to be released of the widely successful franchise, was first announced during the ending of the preceding film, "The Last: Naruto the Movie". As the title suggests, the upcoming movie will focus on the next generation of shinobis, with Naruto's defiant son, Boruto, leading the pack.
This week, the release of the 29th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine gave fans the first glimpse of the main visuals of the new Boruto movie drawn by the series creator Masashi Kishimoto himself. Apart from the images in the poster, there are also captions further describing the upcoming adaptation:
"The 'will of fire' is already old!? A new story will be told about the next generation hero!! The 'ninja way' and the 'will of fire,' that way of thinking is already old!? Aiming to become a new type of shinobi, the efforts of the new hero Boruto!!"
As expected, the movie's main cast will include the franchise's familiar characters, such as Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto Uzumaki, Mitsuki, Sarada, and Ino-Shika-Cho.
Most of the plot of the upcoming Naruto film has already been confirmed, though the poster's release has raised some questions about the yet-to-be-named figures in the image.
The mysterious image on the back of the poster has become a huge subject of speculation among most of the franchise's fans. An unconfirmed report by Designandtrend.com claims that the character might be a descendant of Kaguya Ootsotsuki, as he has been shown with two dots between his eyebrows.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will premiere in Japanese theatres on August 7, but fans can book their tickets in advance as early as June 27.
