During the recently concluded 2016 Consumer Electronics Show, Dell also introduced the company's new line of affordable laptops alongside the latest high-end Latitude family. The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series is an entry-level laptop with a striking and ultraportable design.

"The Inspiron 11 3000 Series exemplifies the Inspiron ideals of easy and purposeful innovation, the Inspiron 11 3000 Series suits people who carry their systems with them like an extension of their phone," according to Dell's press release.

The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series features an 11.6-inch matte HD display with a 1366 x 768 screen resolution. The laptop is light and easy to carry around as it only weighs 2.6 pounds.

It is powered by the Intel Braswell processors and can support up to the Pentium N3700 processor. The laptop can also support up to 4 GB of RAM. Customers will also have several storage options, up to 128 GB of SSD or 500 GB of HDD.

For the starting price of $199, the laptop is equipped with the Celeron N3050 processor and will come with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of eMMC storage.

The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series comes with a long-lasting 32 Whr battery that will provide up to 10 hours of use. It also has a spill-resistant chiclet keyboard. In terms of ports, there is an HDMI output, a microSD card slot, one USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port.

The entry-level Windows 10 laptop comes in a shiny and striking plastic case. It will be offered in three vibrant colors – Bali Blue, Alpine White and Tango Red.

Even though it doesn't come with the latest high-end specifications, the Inspiron 11 3000 Series still impresses considering that prices start at just $199. With a portable design, it is suited for consumers looking for an affordable laptop that they can bring wherever they go. The laptop also competes with the HP Steam.

The Dell Inspiron 11 3000 Series will be available for purchase starting Jan. 28 at dell.com. More variants will be released at a later date.
