"Expendables 3" did not fare well at the box office but it seems like there's no stopping Sylvester Stallone and his team from making another "Expendables" movie. This time, Stallone hints of a more exciting "Expendables" by making it bloodier and more violent, as well as possibly giving it a time travel twist and including Jackie Chan in the cast.

When asked in an interview with Crave whether "Expendables 4" is going to be an R-rated film, Stallone said that it is an absolute and unequivocal yes. He added, " I believe it was a horrible miscalculation on everyone's part in trying to reach a wider audience, but in doing such, diminish the violence that the audience expects. I'm quite certain it won't happen again."

Stallone's decision seems to be on the right track given the fact that R-rated movies, such as "Deadpool," "The Passion of the Christ," and "American Sniper," have been one of the highest grossing films.

He also talked about considering director Patrick Hughes' idea of giving the next installment a time travel twist. He said that he is actually entertaining the idea to put the group in an "unnatural environment" which would make them look like a 'fish out of water."

Furthermore, he also talked about recruiting Jackie Chan, saying he has always wanted him to be in the franchise but couldn't find a role "big enough for him" because they have such a huge cast.

The Asian action superstar suggested, "Sly, can't we just do you and me? Not just a bunch of people and me only coming out for five minutes.' Because then the audience is, 'Oh!' And then I'm gone." But in order to do this, they'd have to reduce the number of cast to accommodate Chan.

Aside from Chan, Hulk Hogan and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are also rumored to appear on the next "Expendables" movie.
