Rumors claiming that "Girl Meets World" will take a bow after its ongoing season 3 continue to persist. Despite the loud buzz, though, even the show's lead star, Rowan Blanchard, cannot confirm nor deny whether this will really be the case.

According to the latest news, Blanchard, who plays the role of Riley on the show, said in an interview that she doesn't have any idea on what the fate of "Girl Meets World" season 4 may be. While it's true that the Disney series is still expected to air more episodes in the can until 2017, there are those who wonder if it will be the last for the series.

In an interview with SheKnows, though, Blanchard revealed that, personally, she hopes that there will be a season 4 for "Girl Meets World" so that they can continue telling their story, which many girls of her age may draw inspiration from. 

"And the entire time, the whole show has been about Riley and Maya's friendship and how powerful it is and how it can withstand anything... We just used the triangle kind of as a metaphor for how Riley and Maya will never let a boy get between them, which I think is something we can really teach young girls because young girls are taught to cater to boys and to always be obsessed with them. I think our show definitely values sisterhood as its main theme," Blanchard said.

While Blanchard may be clueless as to whether "Girl Meets World" will have a season 4, reading between the lines, she may just be equipped with some sort of knowledge as to what the possible stories of "Girl Meets World" may tell in the event that it gets the nod from Disney for another season run.

Although there are rumors going around saying that "Girl Meets World" may move to Freeform for its next season as its story may tackle more mature topics, based on Blanchard's statements, it seems that what the writers have in store is still pretty much in sync with Disney's target audience.

Will "Girl Meets World" really move to Freeform? Is there no more chance for Disney to give the series another season?

Unfortunately, these questions will remain as questions until an official statement is released.
