The second half of "Gotham" season 2 finally introduced some of the more popular and classic DC Comic villains. There's Victor Fries, who is now known as Mr. Freeze, and Dr. Hugo Strange, the man who runs Arkham Asylum.

Both characters still haven't met yet with the show's protagonist, Detective Jim Gordon. However, the new teaser trailer from Fox, shared at YouTube, teases an unpleasant acquaintance between the cryogenics engineer and the police officer.

The clip opens up with Jim interrogating someone, probably a witness of Mr. Freeze's crime. Commissioner Barnes is also shown, looking even more intent on thawing the cold gun-toting rogue. The next scenes show Fries making his rather destructive entrance into the Gotham City Police Department headquarters that sends the whole place in disarray. In the last moments of the video, Fries can be seen creeping behind Gordon and Dr. Tompkins. The pair seems to be looking at a corpse. But before Jim can apprehend the criminal, Fries fired his gun to render the cop armless.

"I'll take it from here," the man says. There are speculations that Fries is coming after the body of someone very important to him, like his wife Nora, who seems to be so weak in the season 2B primer.

Also spotted in the clip is Hugo Strange, looking over at Oswald Cobblepot getting treated inside the asylum. What horrors will the former mobster suffer in the hands of the mad doctor?

In related news, MovieWeb.com posted the promo photo of the alleged "female Joker." The role is said to be played by "Orange Is the New Black" star Lori Petty. The latter is yet to be introduced in an up-and-coming episode that will air on Mar. 14.

In the meantime, "Gotham" season 2B episode 13, "Wrath of the Villains: A Dead Man Feels No Cold," premieres this Monday, Mar. 7, at 8 p.m. on FOX.
