'Grimm' season 5 spoilers: Black Claw goes after Hank to get to Nick in episode 21

(Facebook/NBCGrimm)Hank is in trouble in the upcoming season finale of "Grimm."

Zuri's (Sharon Leal) mission to pull the wool over Hank's (Russell Hornsby) eyes is about to end, as Black Claw takes off the kid gloves and shows the police officer what the group is planning for him in the season finale of "Grimm."

In the back-to-back episodes titled "Beginning of the End 1 & 2," the synopsis reveals that the organization will go on the offensive and makes "a strategic move" against Hank. After getting a lot of information about Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank's final use for the Black Claw is to be the trigger that will turn the Grimm's world upside down. It appears that something bad will happen to him, as Nick goes on "a war path" against the Wesen faction. The others will also be shocked with the sudden turn of events. What devious plan is Black Claw hatching regarding Hank? Will it involve pitting friends with friends?

Series creator David Greenwalt recently told Collider that come season 6, Hank would no longer be the clueless partner who is ignorant of the Wesen world. Something would happen to him that would open his eyes about a new world that he never knew existed. Black Claw and Zuri would make a thorough job of introducing Hank to the realities of life.

"That could happen. This was big decision year one, do we let Hank in on it? And he can't seem dumb. And we just didn't want to say this is how the show works, and it always has to be this way. It's great to have him work with the group, but still the world doesn't know about the majority of this stuff. You still have that," he said.

Meanwhile, the fight between Nick and Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) will continue in season 6. Giuntoli said that the two characters would have their own civil war over Adalind (Claire Coffee). She was forced to leave Nick by the mayoral candidate by using their daughter Diana (Hannah R. Loyd) as bait. The teen returned to her father in the previous episode and Renard could see that she changed a lot. Her powers have also grown. Now that Adalind is with her eldest child, she and Renard must find a way to deal with the new Diana that they have in their midst.

The "Grimm" season 5 two-hour finale airs Friday, May 20 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
