One of the most anticipated open-world games, "Horizon Zero Dawn," has just been released today. Here are the basic guidelines players need to know.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is Guerilla Game's new pride following the hit "Killzone" franchise. So far, the game has received positive reviews from gamers who were able to get a hands-on experience of the game prior to its release.

Aside from the interesting gameplay, players are talking about its unique concept of bringing together two separate periods, ancient tribes and robotic dinosaurs, all in one game. Players are in for a different kind of exploration, character development and action-packed challenges that were praised by gamers due to its complicated missions and combat.

All these are topped with impressive graphics, where PS4 Pro users reportedly dub it as a "technological marvel," according to Forbes.

As for the actual play, Gamespot wrote that players are to immerse themselves into multiple paths in the skills tree, aside from the complex crafting system and the vast open world, when playing the game in the first few hours. However, when earning good quality crafting items and advanced skills, the publication noted that planning ahead is an advantage, but the abilities can be earned through the players' style.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" gives the players a chance to increase their carrying capacity, and this can be efficiently achieved by crafting it in their respective quest. For instance, they can just opt for the "Create job" option when they need a specific item.

As for battling against a machine or a man, it is recommended to attack from a distance, preferably from a discrete location. With patience and stable hand, even a bow and arrow can be fatal to the enemies.

Also, it is good to take on the "In Her Mother's Footsteps" side mission as the reward from it includes a damage boost to the players' spear.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" rolls out Today, Feb. 28, for the PS4.
