Jennifer Lawrence news: Mockingjay star gets emotional talking about split from Nicholas Hoult
Even the strongest of women can sometimes break down. That's what Jennifer Lawrence, whose last "The Hunger Games" film is coming out next week, admitted to journalist Diane Sawyer.
Jennifer Lawrence has made herself one of the most looked up to actresses in Hollywood, having not only starred in some of the biggest and more popular films but also having been a voice for the body positive advocacy. But even a strong and confident woman like her can break down when thrown out of the comfort zone and breaking away from someone who's been in her life for years.
Speaking with Diane Sawyer, the "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" star admitted to feeling lost after she broke up with longtime boyfriend and X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult late last year.
"[X-Men] had been my life for so long and they had to come first in everything. I was also in a relationship with [Nicholas Hoult] for five years and that was my life. So my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24 was this whole year of, 'Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?,'" quotes Us Magazine.
Hoult and Lawrence started dating when they played Beast and Mystique respectively in the "X-Men: First Class." They broke up in January 2013 because of busy schedules but got back together the same year in June when they reprised their roles for "X-Men: Days of Future Past." But last year, in August, they decided to spit up (for good, they say) when filming wrapped up.
There were rumours in June that, with filming of "X-Men: Apocalypse," the two might be back together. But Mirror UK soon dashed hopes of fans when it reported that the British actor was spotted with "Glee" actress Diana Argon in UK. Lawrence, on the other hand, dated Chris Martin on and off shortly after the split.
