Jeremy Lin rumors: How a move to the Hornets makes sense

These days, Jeremy Lin making the headlines is not something to get good news from. However, the former Los Angeles Laker is trying to make things right with his move to the Charlotte Hornets.

Most remember Lin as a surprise star during his time with the New York Knicks. When the team played without superstar Carmelo Anthony, many accepted the fact that they were in for a long losing spell.

However, Lin arrived and gave epic performances, thus giving birth to "Linsanity."

That fad has long been buried and now Lin is going through crossroads entering his sixth year in the league.

When he moved to the Houston Rockets, he was given a big-money deal and underachieved despite being in a team where Dwight Howard was one of the dominant forces in the league.

Despite averaging 13.0 points and 5.2 assists per game with the Rockets, Lin clearly struggled in being the starting point guard and was eventually overshadowed by Patrick Beverley.

He then moved to the Lakers where he looked to shine bright under the Hollywood lights. Unfortunately, that plan failed as well.

Despite producing below par of what was expected, it cannot be denied that Lin tried hardest and was simply given too much on his plate.

Now he sees himself in a team where there are only few expectations of being great and this is where he should thrive and find his confidence back.

The Hornets moved Lance Stephenson out of the team and brought in Lin – in a move that baffled most.

In a team with Kemba Walker as the starting point guard, Lin can easily fill in when Walker takes the bench.

Furthermore, Walker is known for his offense and he needs the ball on his hand to create his own shots, proving that he can slot in to the shooting guard and Lin can take the point.

This early, the move to Charlotte may prove to be the right step towards Lin's career resurgence. Hopefully, he gets enough time to build chemistry with the team.
