The much talked about relationship of troubled singer, Chris Brown and Karreuche Tran has reached a new height with engagement rumors. Did the singer really put a ring on Tran's finger?

A source close to the on-and-off couple revealed to a news site that Brown has been planning to propose to Tran for a long time, even if Brown has his stints in jail.

"I don't know if that's him being lonely in jail but that's what he tells her. He calls her his wifey and tells her all the time that she's perfect wife material" says the source, as reported by Hollywoodlife.com. The source added that Brown has completely put his trust on Tran, including the responsibility of taking care of his properties while he spends time in prison.

"He knows Kae is incredibly loyal and has literally put her life on hold to hold him down in jail. She's taken care of just about everything in his house," continued the source. The source went on by adding that Brown has already assured Tran of their life together once he gets out of jail.

"He basically told her that when he gets out things are going to be way different between them and that he's going to return all the favors she's given him with a surprise of a lifetime," further added the source.

It could have already happened, as Mstarz.com reported that the 26-year-old Tran was recently seen wearing an engagement ring during her birthday celebration. In her Instagram account, Tran posted a photo wearing a two-piece pink dress, with her left hand on display bearing the alleged engagement ring.
