'Married at First Sight' season 3 episode 15 spoilers: Couples reunite to talk about developments in 'Six Months Later'
Last week's episode of "Married at First Sight" featured the couples making their final decision about the whole social experiment.
It's no surprise to many viewers that Ashley Doherty and David Norton decided to get a divorce. In the first place, the couple never made it work and the former admitted that she's not attracted to her husband. Although Norton may have done everything to get Doherty to open up to him, she just couldn't and the best decision was for them to break up.
Tres Russell and Vanessa Nelson's decision was also not surprising. The two had decided that they should stay married and from the very beginning, they had chemistry. They were also the only couple who consummated their marriage.
Russell and Nelson had worked hard to get to where they are and it paid off. Both of them want to be committed to each other and at the end of the episode, Russell proved to his wife how much he's into their relationship by making their dog Nola part of their family.
Neil Bowlus and Sam Role's decision was the surprising and the heartbreaking part of the show. Role revealed how much she has changed for the good since she participated in the show. She never knew what an ideal husband is like until she spent time with Bowlus. Since her husband brought out the good side of her, she decided to stay married.
However, Role didn't get the same response from Bowlus, who decided they should end their relationship. She walked out crying, but eventually things between them turned out fine and they stayed friends.
The reality show is not over yet as it will return with the reunion special this week. Ahead of the airing of the episode, Bowlus opened up to the New York Post about his decision. "During Decision Day, I explained to the experts as follows: Sam and I had fundamentally different experiences — her attraction grew over time whereas mine waned," he told the publication.
Sam also shared to the news outlet how she felt when Bowlus decided to get a divorce. "I felt my heart drop to my stomach and I was crushed. Granted, I think I deserved to feel that way since I was so mean to him the first couple weeks," she said.
Find out what other couples think about their decision in the next episode of "Married at First Sight" on Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on FYI.
