Claire's (Julie Bowen) efficiency in both business and family life is beginning to astound her husband Phil (Ty Burrell) in the upcoming episode of "Modern Family."

In "I Don't Know How She Does It," Spoilers Guide reports that Phil cannot help but notice how Claire is breezing through her work in the closet business she inherited from Jay (Ed O'Neill) while doing all her chores at home. He seems to be a little jealous that his wife has become so successful in her new life as a businesswoman. She is also doing well on the home front, making sure that all their needs are met and the house is clean and orderly. He just does not know how she manages it all.

Unbeknownst to Phil, Claire has hired a personal assistant to help her out with all the chores. She has not told her husband yet, since she enjoys watching his expression whenever he sees her nowadays. After becoming a housewife for a long time, having work is like a breath of fresh air for Claire. She feels bad for her husband for feeling inadequate in the past weeks, but at the same time, she enjoys doing something else aside from house works and cooking meals. Perhaps, she will keep the assistant hiring a secret for a while, just to keep the excitement going.

Elsewhere, Jay and Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) baby is going through a rough stage. As a result, they barely get enough sleep almost every day. As they are both determined to not show any weakness to one another, the couple will try to wing it for a few days more. There is also no harm in cutting corners, as long as one of them is not looking. Meanwhile, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will feel bad at the bad reception they will get at a wedding they attended. They feel that they are treated as second class guests at a party hosted by Pepper (Nathan Lane), no less. Whom have they offended to get such an unfair treatment?
