"Modern Family" recently aired the 18th episode of its seventh season. And now, heads turn towards what the next episode will bring.

According to Spoilers Guide, the synopsis for the upcoming episode of "Modern Family" titled "Man Shouldn't Lie" reads: "Claire brings home a stray dog and gets the kids to help her hide it from Phil while she tries to find its owner. Unfortunately, her evasive behavior only makes Phil try even harder to shower her with more attention. Elsewhere, Gloria invites a new couple over even after Jay has made it clear he doesn't want to make any new friends, but when the husband turns out to be a real guy's guy, Jay might be eating crow. And Cameron rents out their upstairs apartment to a Christian rock band."

Meanwhile, here is a recap of the previous episode titled "The Party."

The last episode saw the adults of the "Modern Family" cast pair up in unlikely duos. Claire (Julie Bowen) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) prepared themselves for a night of pampering at the spa, which the former got for free because the owner was a client of theirs. Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Phil (Ty Burrell) nerded out together as they went off to see a sci-fi movie with Phil in costume—in true Phil fashion. And Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Jay (Ed O'Neill) begrudgingly spent time together by watching a game at a sports bar.

Things were awkward between Cam and Jay at first—something that a difference in personalities and each person's sense of humor contributed to. But when they overhear a pair of other guys at the bar, they make a bet with them about the outcome of the game. Unfortunately, while they were busy arguing, the game ended and they missed it. In an effort to reduce the awkwardness, they instead challenge the two other guys to every bar game.

Meanwhile, Claire and Gloria's spa date and Phil and Mitch's movie night got cut short when the smoke alarm at the Dunphy household went off. Claire suspected that Luke (Nolan Gould) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) were throwing a party—and they were—but Luke managed to hide the other teens, which made Claire look paranoid. Phil and Mitch, high from taking pot which a former client of Phil's had offered them at the movie, discover the teens in Luke's room.

In the end, Luke got caught when one of their party guests jumped out the window because he had another party to attend.
