'Naruto Shippuden' spoilers, news and updates: New info surfaces online, reveals next arcs to be featured
The story arcs which will be tackled on the "Naruto Shippuden" TV anime series were revealed last week as well as the months that they are slated to be released.
Crunchyroll shared scanned pages of a Japanese magazine that announced what to expect from the "Naruto Shippuden" anime series in the coming months
As earlier reported, "Naruto Shippuden's" December slots are meant for Sasuke's arc based on the manga "Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise." Its first episode, which counts as the series' 484th episode, aired last Thursday.
"Book of Sunrise" follows Sasuke's story after he decided to take a journey of atonement instead of staying at Konoha with his friends Naruto and Sakura. The first episode of Sasuke's arc covered his first mission of solving several cases of shinobi disappearances in Leaf Village. Sasuke was ordered by Kakashi, the sixth Hokage, to get down to the bottom of it. Sasuke started his mission by confronting a mysterious criminal group attacking the village.
On the other hand, Shikamaru's arc will follow Sasuke's in January. Based on "Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness," Shikamaru's arc occurs two years after the Fourth Great Shinobi War.
The manga initially revolves around Shikamaru's way of coping after the war and his days as the Shinobi Union leader. He finds that his busy life is far from what he hoped for as a kid. However, things will take a sudden turn after receiving a report that the Land of Silence's leader, Gengo, threatens to take away the peace. Shikamaru then leads a team to investigate the threat and assassinate the perpetrators.
Lastly, the "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding" is reportedly going to be the reference for the next arc featured in "Naruto Shippuden" in 2017. As the title suggests, the arc will be tackling a romantic wedding - and it's going to be between Naruto and Hinata.
It will be a fun and romantic arc as the manga also tells a story of how Kakashi ordered his top shinobis on a "top-secret mission" to come up with a good wedding gift for the couple.
"Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness" and "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding" will reportedly air in January and February 2017, respectively.
