'Naruto Shippuden' spoilers, update: Uchiha Itachi arc main character revealed; new manga will be released
The "Naruto the Hero" filler is coming to an end and many fans might be happy about it. However, it will not be returning to the fourth ninja wars where Naruto and Sasuke battle Madara. Instead, it will show another arc about Uchiha Itachi.
The arc will be based on two Japanese novels about the life of Itachi. On the recent images that have been released, it shows the young Uchiha Itachi training with Shisui.
Despite the release of the images, there are no clear news yet on how much of Uchiha's life will be told in the arc. However, another image shown on Digital Trends shows Itachi wearing his Anbu gear, so many are speculating that it will be shown up until the Uchiha Massacre.
Although it will still take a long time before "Naruto Shippuden" goes back to its main storyline, the arc about Itachi will not be a disappointment since he is one of the most respected characters in the series.
Titled "Itachi: The True Legend," the arc will have nine episodes and will start airing on March 3.
Bitbag also reports that a new "Boruto" manga is set to be released in the spring of 2016. As the title suggests, the main protagonist of the manga series is Boruto Uzumaki. The manga will be illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto who worked as an assistant for Masashi Kishimoto in the original manga.
The manga will make its premiere in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Unlike "Naruto," however, which had a weekly release, "Boruto" will only be featured once a month.
Fans should expect that since the story is about Naruto's son, the storyline will revolve after the Fourth Ninja Wars. This also means that the story will have different twists because the countries will not be at war at that time.
