'Naruto Shippuden' to return to manga roots in episode 459
"Naruto Shippuden" shifted its focus on the character of Itachi Uchiha for the entire month of April, which was met with the fans' mixed reactions. However, it looks like the Japanese anime series is going to return to its roots in episode 459, which is set to air in the coming week.
According to reports, the Japanese anime series left its source material in April to give more attention to Itachi's journey. His life was explored in a four-episode arc, from the young Itachi in a ninja academy to his stint with Akatsuki and when he massacred the entire Uchiha family. Following the character's development and voyage was certainly a thrill to watch for some viewers, but many are thankful that the series is finally going to return to its original storyline this upcoming week.
The four-episode story arc featuring Itachi's life were titled "Itachi's Story – Light and Darkness: Moonlit Night," "Itachi's Story – Akatsuki's Darkness," "Itachi's Story – The Partner" and "Itachi's Story – The Truth."
Since the show mainly revolves around Naruto's character, it's no surprise that fans eagerly await his return and big battle with the series' antagonist. Naruto will, of course, be accompanied by Sasuke, who is also a fan-favorite.
The upcoming episode 459 is titled "Incipient," which is also the title of chapter 679 of the original manga series. The character of Kaguya Otsutsuki was introduced in this chapter. If episode 459 follows the story of chapter 679, then she is set to be involved in an epic clash which may potentially decide the destiny of the ninja world.
Other than that, this May will reportedly see Naruto and Sasuke's much-awaited fight with Uchiha Madara, a powerful ex-Hokage. A lot of action is in store for fans of "Naruto Shippuden" and it seems that it will pick up on the next episode of the anime series.
"Naruto Shippuden" episode 459 will air on Thursday, May 5.
