'Nashville' season 5 spoilers: Rayna's problems with her stalker and Maddie continue
Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) will do everything that she can to keep her stalker away from her in the next episode of "Nashville" season 5 on CMT.
According to the synopsis, Rayna and Deacon (Charles Esten) will add more security in their home to prevent her stalker Carl Hockney (Linds Edwards) from getting closer to her again. But the couple's problems will not end there.
Based on the trailer for the episode titled "A Little Bit Stronger," Rayna and Deacon will have a misunderstanding with their daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella) when they decide to tell her their opinion about her budding relationship with Clayton (Joseph David-Jones).
"A 24-year-old with a 17-year-old? Does he know that he can go to jail for this?" Rayna asks her eldest daughter in the trailer. Maddie accuses her parents that the reason why they do not approve her relationship with Clayton is because he is black, yet the couple appears to think otherwise.
Meanwhile, the trailer also shows that Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is becoming closer to her "guardian angel" Hallie (Rhiannon Giddens) as the two attend church services. She seems very happy to be spending time with her, while she is recuperating from the injuries that she sustained in the plane crash where Hallie found her. But it appears like Avery (Jonathan Jackson) does not approve of their closeness.
In the trailer, Juliette accuses her husband that he does not want her to be happy. Avery disagrees, saying that he has always been there for her since the accident. He also reminds her that he is still there for her even if she is already feeling a little better.
The synopsis for the episode also reveals that Avery will go back to performing.
CMT will air the next episode of "Nashville" season 5 tomorrow, Feb. 2, at 9/8c on CMT.
