'NCIS: LA' season 7 episode 3 spoilers: Kensi and Deeks on undercover mission; team investigates 20-year-old massacre in Peru
Fans will agree that they need something relatively lighthearted after the harrowing events that happened in the second episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles'" season 7. And they will get it in episode 3 when Deeks and Kensi go undercover and pretend to work for a popular fashion model.
In the next episode of the popular franchise titled "Driving Miss Diaz," the Los Angeles team investigates a massacre that happened 20-years ago in Peru. Hetty's (Linda Hunt) team believes that a model, Catalina Diaz (Arienne Mandi), survived the massacre and is now the target of the perpetrator.
To ensure that she's protected, the relatively new couple is assigned to do undercover work, with Kensi (Daniela Ruah) posing as the model's assistant while Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is the chauffeur.
A short teaser clip for the episode shows the two preparing to meet Catalina, with Kensi questioning her boyfriend about the numerous pictures he has of the model on his phone. In his defense, Deeks says it was all done in the name of research.
The two are apparently tasked to take Catalina to a photoshoot for Roseline magazine. In reality, the photoshoot has been set up by Hetty to get the suspect to reveal himself. Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) will undoubtedly be on hand to provide the muscle.
Whether or not their plan succeeds is still in question, but Hetty is seen informing Catalina about the dangerous situation she is in at the end of the promo.
While Catalina's situation is no laughing matter, the episode does promise to provide several humorous situations, especially for Densi shippers. Aside from their bickering, it's amusing to see Eric (Barrett Foa) and the rest of the team enjoying their research of the curvaceous and stunning model.
But the light moments are quickly overshadowed as whoever is targeting the model soon makes his presence felt as shots are fired and Callen is seen trying to protect Catalina.
To see how Callen and the rest of his team fare, viewers can check out episode 3 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7 on Oct. 5 on CBS.
