'NCIS' season 13 spoilers: Episode 7 will reveal Ducky's secret society connected to next week's case
An all-new "NCIS" season 13 episode aired tonight. That does not mean fans have been fully satiated already as the season is still a long way from its finale. Thankfully, the Internet gods have started dishing out what can be expected in next week's episode.
Episode seven of "NCIS" season 13 will be titled "16 Years" and will focus, finally, on one of the 'quieter' characters of the show: Ducky. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum) had his moment last season with episode three, "So It Goes." Next week, though, fans get to know him a whole lot better as a secret from the past turns out to be the key to the episode's case.
CarterMatt reports episode seven's synopsis as, "The NCIS murder case of a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander forces Ducky to reveal his participation in a secret society that solves cold cases."
So Ducky is in a secret society. Moreover, this society investigates crimes. How this factors into the NCIS team's own brand of investigation will surely be fun to watch. Guest starring as members of Ducky's secret society are Jessica Walter as Judith McKnight and Richard Riehle as Walt Osorio.
The show had so far been juggling between other stories and the major storyline about Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). But with the show starting to put the focus on other members of the criminal investigating team, fans can expect that there will be a major shift soon to answer questions about Gibbs' physical and mental state.
Tonight, with "Viral," the police procedural drama went searching for an alleged serial killer as triggered by the murder of a petty officer. Agent McGee's (Sean Murray) girlfriend, Delilah (Margo Harshman), has also returned and the two made a decision towards moving in together.
"NCIS" airs on CBS every Tuesday.
