Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team will take on a bewildering kidnapping case in the upcoming episode of "NCIS."

In the episode titled "Shell Game," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that a petty officer who has been abducted will luckily escape. As the NCIS investigates who kidnapped her and why, new details will surface that her abduction is somehow connected to her husband. He has gone missing and there have been no clues as to what happened to him. Could he somehow be behind her kidnapping? The squad must find out fast before the culprit gets another chance to silence the officer.

Meanwhile, Abby (Pauley Perrette) will be in a gift-giving mood in the next episode. She is probably thinking that the new members of the team have not been welcomed properly. The NCIS has now acquired three hardworking agents to help in future missions. There is Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) and MI6 Reeves (Duane Henry). Abby will knit them something special – a personalized gift to make them feel at home. Will they appreciate her effort?

Last episode, Quinn and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) were sent to Philadelphia to probe the murder of a petty officer and the sudden disappearance of an MI6 agent. Clayton was on loan from the British organization to help with the case. When they eventually found the missing man, he claimed that criminals involved in weapon smuggling abducted him. Torres helped from the team's headquarters and it was him who discovered that the MI6 man was lying. He was part of the smuggling group and responsible for the petty officer's death.

While in Philly, Quinn finally revealed to Bishop why she chose to quit field work in the past and became a training instructor. She said she was traumatized when her old partner was killed in front of her. Quinn felt guilty because she did not see the shooter coming since she was on the phone, arguing with her then-boyfriend.

"NCIS" season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
