While fans are still on the lookout for updates on Nintendo NX, a "RISE: Race the Future" game trailer might have just given fans a sneak peek into the highly anticipated Nintendo NX console.

Developed by VD-DEV, the racing game video teaser showcases its upcoming in-game racing car — making a walkthrough of the exterior, interior, and its latest tech upgrades that lead to the production of the "future of car racing."

But what remains interesting is the fact that as the teaser ends with the announcement that it will be made available by winter time of 2016, the logos of participating consoles are flashed, and a proxy logo for Nintendo NX is present.

Even more curious is the fact that "RISE" is set to be available this year, but Nintendo NX is set for release in March 2017, according to Nintendo's annual financial report, released April 2016.

This intentional or accidental "leak" from "RISE: Race the Future" video trailer can be speculated for a lot of things, like an earlier release of the console, but those can only remain rumors until Nintendo makes a statement. What is clearer is that this racing game will definitely be one of the first games to be made available for the console, alongside "The Legend of Zelda," which is already confirmed as one of the launching game titles.

Other consoles that will be compatible with "RISE" are Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The game will also be available in Wii U, a console that, according to reports, will be beaten by Nintendo NX in terms of incremental sales, if the marketing strategy set for NX will be successful.

Mike Hogan, Nintendo strategic business and brand development executive vice presiden, explains in an interview that if the upcoming Nintendo NX outperforms Wii U even the slightest bit, the newest console can generate up to $2.7 billion in incremental sales over its first two years in the market.
