"One Punch Man" is headed for season 2 and Saitama will taste something that he has never had before: defeat. Reports say that he will be up against very powerful villains and that he will be overpowered. Saitama will discover a vulnerable side of his super hero powers especially when he takes on Lord Boros. Another thing that Saitama has to worry about is the attack of the Monster Association, a sinister group whose aim is to completely destroy all members of the Hero Association.

Saitama was able to defeat the largest monster in Z City during the last episode of season 1 and reports say that he might have used up most of his powers during this final battle. "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature the hero still looking for the respect that he deserves in the Hero Association while he seeks more battles to improve his stats. Because of this, the Monster Association will seek Saitama and take him down. There are also speculations that Saitama would be facing Amai Mask or Garou in the next season.

"One Punch Man" season 2 is said to premiere this July and all the episodes for the coming season are already complete, Geek.com reported. Many believe that this announcement is true since the series' will be marking its second anniversary this July. This date could change anytime, considering that there are no official announcements yet from "One Punch Man" creators.

Meanwhile, it looks like "One Punch Man" is also quite popular in the west as Saitama made a cameo appearance at "The Simpsons" comics. A Reddit user Max101Victory found the bald superhero in a comic run about Bart and Milhouse attending a costume event. Bart was in his usual Bart Man attire while his friend wore a cape and mask. As the two walked toward the entrance, a group of people wearing costumes were in the frame. A bald man with a white cape and yellow suit plus a red glove looking very much like Saitama was seen along with other super hero-clad people.

Being at a "Simpsons" comic strip shows how popular "One Punch Man" has become. During its first season release, it has gained quite a following; this could be reason why creators decided to give "One Punch Man" season 2 the green light. More updates about season 2 will be available as the reported release schedule nears but as of this time, fans would just have to wait.
