'Peaky Blinders' season 4 spoilers, plot rumors: Tommy will fall in love again
After the death of Grace (Annabelle Wallis), is there a possibility for Tommy (Cillian Murphy) to fall in love again in the season 4 of the BBC quasi-fictional criminal gang drama "Peaky Blinders?"
According to Birmingham Mail, while it is true that Tommy may not love any woman as much as he loved Grace, he definitely needs a woman in his life to stick with him through thick and thin. With this, the online publication floats possible actresses who can play the love interest of the beleaguered character: Cherrelle Skeete and Esther Smith, who are both part of the stage play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."
While Tommy falling in love again in the next season of "Peaky Blinders" is nothing but a wish for him by Birmingham Mail, which may actually happen, one thing is certain about the BBC series' season 4: It will have 1926 as its period setting and will include General Strike.
"I want to shine the light on the 1920s and hopefully the 1930s, making it a true between the wars family story. I want the family trajectory to continue upwards and for them to become wealthier and more powerful. The only thing I want to do is for Tommy to be knighted, to become Sir Thomas Shelby for various nefarious reasons!" said "Peaky Blinders" creator and writer Steven Knight.
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that the season 3 finale of "Peaky Blinders" left the audience with a cliffhanger showing Tommy tipping his family to the police. With this, it goes without saying that they will think Tommy betrayed them and will not trust him again. However, in an interview with W Magazine, Murphy revealed that everything his character did is a part of a bigger plan that even him as the actor is clueless about.
"The beauty of it is that clearly, Tommy has a plan. And I don't know what the f— that is because season four and five haven't been written," Murphy told W Magazine in an article that was published last month.
While it is already confirmed that "Peaky Blinders" has been renewed for a fourth and fifth season, their respective air dates are yet to be determined.
Will Tommy find love again? What will be the repercussions to his supposed betrayal to his family? Find out when "Peaky Blinders" returns to BBC for its season 4, who knows when.
