'Perception' update: gameplay trailer out for indie horror game
The trailer for the first-person, horror game "Perception" has just been released and the creepiness of it is out of this world.
"Perception" is being developed by The Deep End Games, an independent game developing group. The survival-horror game's team of game designers include former BioShock and Dead Space developers.
"[Perception] tells the story of Cassie, a blind heroine who uses her extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned estate that haunts her dreams," as said on the developers' official webpage.
The game's Kickstarter campaign was able to rack up a total of $168,042 USD with 4,357 backers. And the team behind continues to accept support from fans through their official website. According to GameSpot, the extra funds will be used in developing virtual reality support, as well as in making other versions of the game, so that it will be playable on the PlayStation 4 and on the Xbox One.
"We are completely overwhelmed, overjoyed, and humbled at the reception our game has received. This has been the most exciting, exhilarating month and we have you to thank," the game developer said via a statement published by GameSpot. Developer, The Deep End Games also added "We are so proud to be able to make this game thanks to you. Words cannot express the level of gratitude and sheer joy this has brought us, and we can't wait to make this game and put it in your hands!"
"Perception" is a unique horror-game. It is a first-person perspective game that uses echolocation for vision (pretty much like what Daredevil uses). Its concept is not only unique but also very exciting, thrilling and most importantly, creepy.

The game's specific release date has yet to be announced but according to Polygon, "Perception" is set for a 2016 release. It will also run on the Linux, Mac and Windows OS.
