Sony unveiled the PlayStation (PS) 4 Pro with 4K capabilities on Wednesday. Although it is not arriving earlier than November, it is available for pre-orders now.

The PS4 Pro, previously known by its codename Neo, is now available for pre-orders on major retailers. According to a comparison chart from Tech Radar, it can be purchased for $399.99 from Amazon, Newegg and GameStop. It costs £349.99 in the United Kingdom and can be pre-ordered on Amazon U.K. and Zavvi. The prices displayed are for the 1-terabyte (TB) storage option.

The PS4 Pro was announced together with the PS4 Slim, which will become available at an earlier date. All three U.S. retailers mentioned above are also offering the smaller console in a 500GB "Uncharted 4" bundle, which costs $299.99.

The selling point of the Pro version is its capability to render games in 4K resolution. However, it is not an entirely new console. It has been reiterated before that it is meant to complement the original PS4. The same holds true for the Slim. All three are going to be sold side-by-side, CNET reported.

The three platforms can play the same games, meaning all current titles and future games to be released will be compatible with any of the three. The biggest difference now is the better graphics, but there are also upgrades in the graphics processing unit (GPU) and processor, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The PS4 Pro also comes with support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), but this will soon be arriving to the original PS4 in an update next week. This will allow users to play games or watch videos in HDR. However, it does not include support for 4K Blu-Rays.

To better enjoy its offerings, players will need to buy a 4K television if they have none yet. But it can be used with other displays.

The PS4 Pro starts to ship on Nov. 10 and the PS4 Slim on Sept. 15.
