'Pokemon Sun and Moon' latest details: Evolution of starter Pokemon revealed; Get Ash-Greninja in new game
A new trailer has premiered for "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," and this time, it features the evolutions of the games' three Pokémon starters. It was also revealed that a demo for the title will soon be available and it will feature a special surprise for fans of the animated series.
The evolved forms of the three new starters have finally made their debuts in the latest installment of the "Pokémon" franchise. The first one that was shown was the flying and grass type creature, Dartrix. Its pre-evolution is Rowlet and it turns into a bigger owl that is really concerned with its looks. According to Polygon, Dartrix is a powerful creature but the only problem with it is that the Pokémon is vain. The vanity can be a distraction from battle since its priority is to look better by pruning its feathers.
Meanwhile, the fire type Litten can evolve into Torracat, and it looks spunkier and tougher than its pre-evolution. It has a color palette of black and dark orange around its body and it seems to have something that resembles a bell around its neck. Moreover, the creatures is known to be bloodthirsty and determined to win in battles.
On the other hand, the evolution of Popplio is Brionne and it is known to be a water type and "pop star Pokémon." It has been mentioned in reports that the creature had a reputation of being an ugly duckling which has turned into a beautiful swan. When Popplio was first unveiled, it became somewhat of a laughing stock on the internet, but now its evolution shows otherwise. Brionne is more beautiful and also loves to please its trainer by dancing and being friendly.
It was also revealed in the trailer that a demo for the game can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop on Oct. 18. In the demo, they will be able to control a Greninja that has a special ability that can transform it to Ash-Greninja. This transformation has been popular in the animated series, "Pokémon the Series: XYZ." In addition, players will be able to transfer this version of Greninja to their full game once "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are released.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" is set to be launched on Nov. 18 in North America and they are exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
