The CW is currently working on the fourth installment of "Reign" and recent reports suggest that the cast and crew are busy with a dramatic plot that will see the two queens in a fierce battle.

It is speculated that "Reign" season 4 will feature the battle between Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) in a much deeper level. Though the two have always been battling for the crown, it seems that things will be more emotional and dramatic when the show returns next year.

There are also rumors pointing to Queen Mary's alleged victory over Queen Elizabeth. However, history says it was Elizabeth who reigned in the end. Will this same plot be applied in the upcoming installment?

In the previous season, fans saw Lola (Anna Popplewell) killed. It was a tragic event in the history of the show since Lola has always been loyal to Mary. The Queen of the Scots has yet to discover the truth behind Lola's passing and this may cause her to retaliate even more against Queen Elizabeth.

It is also expected that in "Reign" season 4, Mary will once again try to find love. She will be romantically linked to two men in the upcoming season but both romances may not work all too well.

Mary may be very serious about claiming England's throne but it appears that Elizabeth is taking things even more carefully now, after she discovered Lola's tactics. This could mean that the two queens will face off soon to see who has more power over the people and the two countries.

Meanwhile, Skarsten has been giving updates on social media about filming. She's been posting set photos for fans to have an idea about how filming for "Reign" season 4 has been going over the past weeks.
