'Rick and Morty' season 3 spoilers, air date: March 2017 release date? will Jerry and Beth be together next season?

(Twitter/@RickandMorty)"Rick and Morty" season 3 might return in March 2017.

Rick Sanchez did an uncharacteristically noble thing by turning himself over to the Galactic Police, in order to save his family. How will his sacrifice affect the family dynamics?

Fans are still waiting for news on when "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be aired. It's now unlikely that the new season will be released before the year ends, despite show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's good intentions. As it stands, fans might be looking at a March 2017 release date.

But their patience will undoubtedly be rewarded as fans will reportedly be getting more episodes in season 3. The new season will reportedly have 14 episodes this time around, that's four more than the 10 episodes they got in the first two seasons.

Interesting story arcs involving Rick's family are on the horizon as well. Season 2 saw Beth, Jerry, Summer, and Morty being escorted back to Earth after Rick gave himself up. But the Federation also offered Jerry a job in the aftermath. If he takes it, then he will be on stable ground, both in terms of his finances and his marriage. Fans will recall that being out of a job has been a bone of contention between him and Beth.

Beth and Jerry's marriage has been on the rocks since the show's first season. However, there have been rumors that season 3 will find Beth's story moving forward. But whether it will still involve Jerry remains to be seen.

Rick won't be languishing in prison for long as his ex-wife will reportedly bust him out. However, some reports have pegged Summer and Evil Morty to be the one springing the scientist out of jail.

Fans should be cautioned to take all "Rick and Morty" news with a grain of salt. After all, Harmon and Roiland have remained mum about season 3.
