Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite (2016) specs, news: Samsung updates laptop with a Skylake processor
Samsung has updated its Ativ Book 9 Lite laptop for 2016. The updated laptop comes with more impressive specifications compared to the first-generation release. The 2016 model now comes with the latest sixth generation Intel Skylake processor.
Unlike the previously released high-end Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro and Spin laptops, the Ativ Book 9 Lite is more compact and features slightly lower specifications.
The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite (2016) with the model designation NT910S3L features a 13.3-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. The ultra-thin laptop is only about 0.7 inches thick and weighs under three pounds.
It is powered by the Intel Pentium 4450U processor, the Intel HD 510 graphics and 8 GB of RAM. There is also 128 GB of Solid State Drive. The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite is also equipped with a 30 Whr battery and will run the Windows 10 Pro OS.
In terms of connectivity, the laptop comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.1. For ports, there is a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, a mini Ethernet jack and a SDXC card reader.
The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite (2016) has officially launched in its home country South Korea. According to Digital Trends, the laptop has an Energy Star listing, which means that it will be arriving in other international markets including North America in the next few months.
Along with the updated Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite, Samsung also released two other Ultrabooks in the market – the 13.3-inch Samsung 900X3L and the 15-inch Samsung 900X5L. Both laptops are ultra-light, weighing 1.9 pounds and 2.9 pounds respectively.
The all-new Samsung Ultrabooks are also equipped with the latest Intel Skylake processors, Full HD displays and either 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM.
