The rumored Samsung Galaxy C9's release date timeframe may have been leaked, pegging the launch date in as soon as October.

According to a report by GSM Arena, some have tipped the launch timeframe of the Samsung Galaxy C9 to October or November. The authenticity of this leak cannot be determined, but it corroborates the expected screen size of 5.7 inches.

The Galaxy C9 has been featured before in a Zauba listing with a 5.7-inch screen. However, another more recent Zauba listing says the device will have a 6-inch screen. Other than that, not much is really known about it except that it is a mid-range device codenamed "Amy" with the model number SM-C9000. Knowing that, TechTimes stated that the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 cannot be expected to be the C9's powerhouse.

Nonetheless, it is rumored that it will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC paired with 4 GB of random access memory (RAM), as per Softpedia. For comparison, its sibling, the Galaxy C7 that was released earlier in the year, has a Snapdragon 625 with 4 GB RAM.

The report also noted that it is likely to sport 32 GB internal storage that is expandable via a microSD slot. The 16-megapixel (MP) from the C7's main camera might also cross over to the C9 or the latter might feature a different albeit better snapper.

The 3,300 mAh battery of the C7 may be seen as well, along with its Quick Charge 3.0 feature.

Seeing that it is targeted at the middle class, there are not much mind-blowing expectations regarding the phone, only that it is expected to perform better than the C7. There are also notes of extra features and some surprises, but that remains to be seen.

As of now, an exact release date still has to be confirmed by Samsung. Information regarding price and availability may follow. Consumers from the other parts of the world interested in the device will also have to wait to know if it will be launched in other markets aside from China.
