Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs news: Official TV ad confirms device's features; Phablet's images leak anew before Aug. 2 launch
Set aside those spoilers and rumors from the grapevine as Samsung Electronics has just unleashed a behemoth of features about its upcoming iteration from the Galaxy Note line-up.
In a true OnePlus or Xiaomi fashion, the South Korean tech giant showcased on July 28 an ultra-revealing Samsung Galaxy Note 7 commercial which essentially put out most of its killer features in the open.
Through Samsung Mobile Korea, the 30-second clip is deemed as part of the official campaign from the global tech leader. Now while the commercial is not a blatant platform to boast all the phablet's features, the next-generation device's features and specifications can evidently be inferred accordingly.
From the get-go, the commercial boasts the device's fingerprint recognition feature, aiming to bring the authentication aspect to a new level. Meanwhile, the phablet is also expected to be armed with a front-facing Light-Emitting Diode (LED) or with an integrated, wider aperture lens to accommodate a superior low-light performance.
The commercial also confirmed that the company has very well skipped the number 6 from the line-up and proceeded with 7 instead. Further, the waterproof feature has also been teased along with the phablet's S Pen add-on which will come with surprising features such as text highlighting.
Following the surprising commercial are the clearest and the most detailed leaked images of the upcoming device. The slew of images was taken through TechTastic which bragged the phablet in various angles. Apart from the apparent aesthetics of the device, the leak also provided screenshots which basically confirmed some the phablet's specifications.
Some of the confirmed specifications based on the screenshots are 4 GB of Random Access Memory, an Octa-Core CPU, 2K AMOLED Display and a 12-megapixel camera.
"Samsung Galaxy Note 7" is slated to be launched on Aug. 2.
