The upcoming season of "Scream Queens" just got a little bit more charming. Fox recently revealed in a statement that John Stamos will be joining the second season of the hit comedy horror series in a regular role.

Stamos will portray the part of Dr. Brock Holt, "the hospital's brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon." It is no secret that the 52-year-old actor is a veteran of television shows, having previously starred in "ER" and "Full House." Stamos is currently reprising his role as Jesse Katsopolis on Netflix's "Fuller House," the sequel to the 1987 series.

This won't be the first time that Stamos will be working with "Scream Queens" co-creator Ryan Murphy. The two have previously worked together on "Glee" and "The New Normal," with Stamos in guest appearances.

The previous season of "Scream Queens" saw the ladies of Kappa Kappa Tau running away from and trying to find out the identity of the Red Devil Killer. Numerous suspects were considered, but in the end, it was revealed that it was Hester who was behind it all. She eventually got away with the murders though and even framed the Chanels—including their fabulous leader Chanel Oberlin—for the crime and got them institutionalized.

Season 2 of "Scream Queens" will be set in a new location—a hospital. But this is no ordinary hospital; this is a hospital "where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation." A new mystery will haunt the halls of the institution and a new killer is afoot.

However, not much is known about the details of the plot that will take place in the new season. So fans can only hold on to the few pieces of information already announced and wait for further details.

Stamos will be joining the roster of existing cast members, which includes Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash. As for the premiere date of the new season, one has already been officially announced. "Scream Queens" season 2 will debut on Tuesday, Sept. 20 on Fox.
