'Seven Year Switch' spoilers: Couples start swapping partners
The itch has been scratched and the switching has begun as reality television series "Seven Year Switch" premiered earlier this month. The four couples starring in the show have been introduced and the swap has been done. Now, the couples begin to discover if the switch therapy is going to do their relationships any wonder.
"Seven Year Switch" is a new reality show launched by FYI where four married couples, who have been experiencing difficulties in their marriage, undergo switch therapy to decide in the end if they want to continue working through the marriage or go their separate ways.
They will be guided by relationship experts, who will help them get as much out of the switch experience so they can make an informed decision during the show's finale.
In the pilot episode, the four couples have been introduced to the audiences. Details of how they started as a couple and the reason why they want to go through this experiment were also revealed:
- Eric and Danielle dated for six years before getting married. After being husband and wife for a year and a half, the two discover little things about each other that are "a little off."
- Houston and Alisha have been married the shortest at only eight months although they dated for seven years. Now, the two are currently experiencing problems at work and it is taking a toll in their relationship.
- CW and Rachel have been husband and wife for three years and are blaming communication issues for their marriage's breakdown.
- Neal and Leah are now facing infidelity issues after eight years of being together.
The pilot also revealed which couples are going to be switching: Neal and Leah swap with Houston and Alisha, while Eric and Danielle switch spouses with CW and Rachel.
The new FYI show does have an interesting premise which has caught the attention of the organization, One Million Moms. The organization, however, is calling for the cancellation of the show and has dubbed it as immoral.
"Seven Year Switch" airs on A&E every Tuesday at 9 p.m.
