'Sister Wives' season 7: Mariah claims Meri ignored her warning that she was being catfished
There is no denying that one of the most talked about events in the just-concluded season of "Sister Wives" is Meri's falling victim into catfishing. However, it has been learned that Meri had already been warned about it, yet chose to ignore the handwritings on the wall.
In the tell-all explosive interview of the cast of the reality series, it was revealed that Meri's daughter with Kody, Mariah, already knew from the very start that the person her mother was chatting with online is a bogus. However, despite Mariah warning her mother not to take the bait, Meri proceeded anyway until she discovered the harsh truth.
"From the very beginning I knew that was happening.... I tried to tell her and I tried to make it not happen and she just did it anyway.... She didn't listen to me," Mariah revealed.
Apparently, despite the supposed emotional infidelity of Meri with the fictitious Sam Cooper, who was later found out to be a woman named Jackie Overton, everything is water under the bridge now for Kody and his three other sister wives, with Kody even defending one of his wives by saying that he doesn't think that the said catfishing scandal was an emotional affair, but, rather, a friendship on the part of Meri. For Kody, the mess is nothing but a result of their online haters.
"We've got haters.... They came in and they messed with our marriage and I think this catfish was a hater," Kody said.
Meanwhile, it is heavily rumored that Kody will divorce all his sister wives in the near future as, rumor has it, the polygamous husband is sick with all his sister wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn. According to reports, Kody is eyeing to marry two women who are no strangers to the family of his sister wives: Amber, a family friend of the sisters, and Mindy Jessop, the step-niece of the sisters.
As of this writing, it remains unclear if TLC will renew the reality series for another season run.
